Very nice MS. I don't think that the spots will cause much problem, but there were so many minted and pretty common that it wouldn't be worthwhile to have it graded anyway. Unless you got to 63 or 64 red it would never be worth more than a raw coin. There are some '09's that have some nice Obv Machine Doubling and there are r/p's of both the "0" and "9" in the date.

okiecoiner, all my coins are raw. I like them like that, and if I buy them graded, I free them from prison.

I'm not that good of a grader but I can say that the carbon spots don't take anything away from its eye appeal. Nice coin.

That is a beautiful cent Viper! Looks like it has some doubling on the designers initials and legend. Can you do a closeup of the initials? It looks like die doubling to me rather than Machine Doubling.

It looks like there is notching, indicating die doubling on EDWARD and IMPERATOR as well as the initials.

The doubling really shows up good on the initials. Not so clearly on the legend, but it's there.

Nice photography, as always!

I see nothing on the lettering .. just a normal tapered letter, wider at the bottom than the top.
