I Am New To Coin Collecting. Is This A Error 1952 Wheat Penny?

Anything that happens after that is damage. Suggest that you study how coins are minted and then you would understand how something like that could not be an error. Also by knowing what actual errors are, it would help you in identifying what is and what is not an error. Error-ref.com is a good site to study errors. Report this Post to the Staff

A closer view would show metal splash from the deeper contact areas.
