Both ragged clip and lam feel a bit like a shot in the dark here, but the reverse at the E of EPU makes this feel like it may not be PMD. The ragged area that looks black is actually the same color as the rest of the coin, I am just having a hard time getting rid of the shadow for the photos. So let's hear what you think and thank you in advance!

I don't have a lot of experience with clips, so I was wondering if it was just some lam on the E and PMD on the ragged clip area, but I trust your judgment and thank you!

IsThisAnything,

i am new to errors as well.

like I said, I see the ragged clip but no LAM. I am guessing what you are seeing is part of the ragged clip.

one of these days I will find a ragged clip

Wow, that's a beautiful cracked planchet in that 35% silver alloy. Looks like that piece is about to break off. Wonder how many years it "survived" in circulation?

Wow thanks everyone! That's my first and Rothery just introduced me to ragged clips a few weeks back, so I am surprised this one actually fit the bill. It's like getting a gold star from the teacher when your coin gets coopified.

I've heard of people biting gold coins but never silver...must have chipped a tooth...

Great looking....where did you find it?

Edited: never mind, just read your "clipped" nickel post..
