Hello, I'm looking at a 1960 D Nickel with a double rim. My question is when looking at the mint mark, is this a D/D. I'm leaning towards not but wanted to ask the professionals.
The mintmark took a hit. That doesn't make it a RPM. A RPM will show a spread between punchings: http://www.varietyvista.com/05%20JN...0DRPM001.htm Note the spread on the mintmark size. It is larger. On yours, it was just flattened on the west part of the mintmark.
