I recently purchased a 25 roll from the United States mint it was my first time and I was under the impression that they would be flawless so I was a little disappointed to see a nic here and there but I've been examining them and saw this and wondered if anyone else had seen this it's like a crooked backwards E I don't know if it's common or not so any info on it would be much appreciated

Looks like a coincidental "backwards E" to me, too. That area of the coin took a few hits, including the gash between U and M in UNUM.

I just picked up some rolls, too, and one of the end coins had a big obverse scratch. They aren't necessarily handled carefully, to say the least.

It took a hit while sitting in the bin from another Sac. dropping onto it....As far as expecting flawless, I think you'd be lucky to find 5 or 6 coins from a roll that turn out to be MS/PR 65 or better
