Anyone seen any 1985 Rabbit ear Kangaroos lately?

I am on a rabbit hunt.

I have 3 of the 1985 wascally wabbits. I found on in Canberra (ACT), one in Gundagai (NSW) and one in Morwell (VIC). You can't get any futher apart than that. I know of another forum member who definitely has one (maybe two). I am unaware of anyone else. And I have never seen one advertised on ebay.

I was going to put one on ebay to see what they're worth, but I just can't seem to part with any of them. The hands begin to tremble

I've got a picture on photobucket that I'll try to load.

I have given up on the Rabbit Ears as I have had no luck fighting for one on ebay. Seems the Aussies are willing to put up the ulitimate fight to hold on to their errors! I am a patient man and will keep my eyes peeled for that BARGAIN I am dreaming about!

I had a good look at Goldy's Wascally Wabbits abotu a month or so back. Even managed to prize a set from his steely grip. :)

I'll have to check, but I don't think I've got any 85's either. Hmmmm. :(

Hi,
I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd add that I got a 1985 bunny ears yesterday in Melbourne. The bunny ears was not on the top roo but the roo second from the top. The coin also has a continuous mark around the inside of the rim on both the obverse and reverse (like a double rim, but it is not a double rim).

Cheers!

I hadn't found any Rabbits for a long while. However, last Saturday I found 4 in the space of an hour. 2 were 1998s. The others were 2000s. Its renewed my noodling interest. I think I'll do it again this weekend. Especially as my wife and son are in Europe for the Mounted Games (Equestrian) and there's no-one (at least a family member) to call me strange for sifting through a bucket of coins or emptying poker machines.

Does anyone else have the problem of your wife getting up and leaving you when you sit down with a bucket of coins?

Yass - my Misses can't understand why I collect them and don't spend them.
any time I sort grade or catalogue - she is off like a shot.

Maybe she is out looking for rabbits.

I can't knock her- she always manages to come up with coins for me on special occasions like birthdays and fathers day-

Maybe I need a few more birthdays each year.
