What should I do with these? I mean, I can drop them into my penny collection, which is fine, but is there something better I should consider?

I don't there is any extra value in them due to the mint packaging beyond being really nice uncirculated examples.

Are you noticing any 'film-like' fogginess on the coins? Some copper cents in older mint packaging can have a subtle, milky-like discoloration.

Mint sets can contain high grade coins. If you have good grading skills you might consider sending them in IF you think they can pull an ms 67 or better.

I like to buy the Proof Cents and Nickels in Cellos. They do have some doubled dies in them. Some sites well them on ebay. Just a coin that was kept out of circulation. When buying these back on the other century, I noticed, they weren't as nice as the ones I would find in the OBW rolls of that time. So I stopped buying them.

Looking for the cotton gloves, then I'll cut them out.

I suspect people broke these up to get the silver and then spent the nickels?

No I don't have grading skills, but I can read, so maybe I can lean something a little better.

@COOP even cameo and DCAM sometimes is not worth to certify. You send and never know what come back.

Example: I send 2 proof 1957 sets, perfect same DCAM and come back half DCAM and half CAM. Someone can understand? At least with this sets I will not loose the 1000$ for certification.
