I think this is a special one it has doubling and no mint mark. It's in a hardcover case so sorry about marks from it.

I don't see anything, and VV doesn't list any DDOs or DDRs for 76-Ps

That high value Ike is a unique type 2 silver proof missing the "S" mint mark. Yours is a Philadelphia minted circulating coin.

Yes, appears to be a lightly circulated Philly mint '76, not minted in San Francisco. Not seeing any doubling, I am seeing some minor dings and hits. Would be fun to see an end-on photo or two of the coin--the reeding.

Is that a die crack coming out of Ike's upper forehead--trending through the B?

Journeylove,
Please proof read your post before posting...thanks.
I think those holders are snap together, are they not? If so, remove the coin. The holder adds no value, and it is easier to see the coin and take pics out of a holder.

A good read on Wexler's site about this series if mentioned on the First article, under the banner 'History.' a short read showing the issues with the listing of Ike dollar doubled dies. Good to know, so you don't purchase that looks like the read deal, but is not the real deal. 'Master die doubling' is mentioned in the article. I'm glad I don't collect these, you could end up with something that is worth just face values. (and look just like a DDO / DDR) Always nice to look before you leap.
