Really wanted a nice SLQ with cool toning, I picked this up at a show a couple years ago. What do you think PCGS gave it?

I should mention that the foggy marks on the lower reverse are just scuff marks on the holder.

Bit of a weak strike, but great luster. I'd say MS-63.

I'll say MS-62, possibly 63.

definite weak obverse strike. lots of luster both sides. I have to ask myself how much would PCGS deduct for the strike. 1 full point, 1 1/2 or 2. I dont think they would knock it 2. if the strike was better I think it would be MS64 so that leaves a 1 or 1 1/2 point deduction. based on that I'm looking at MS63 or MS63+. I'm going with the plus. PCGS is tough so I dont think they would push it to 64

Another vote for 63. Weak strike shouldn't affect grades below 65 IMO, unless eye appeal is drastically affected. This quarter has nice luster and mint frost. Head is pretty typical for a '26-D which is seldom found with FH. Grade is limited by some wispy hairlines and small contact marks.

Nice coin overall!

Well, nobody got it. But I think I agree with you all. I didn't really know what to look for with these as I only have 3 or 4 of these, but the strike does seem awfully weak, even compared to the other one I posted.
