Looks like a nice, crisp date (and strike). I always liked the 1931-S for its relatively low mintage of exactly 1.2 million -- second lowest in the series behind the 1926-S.

weak strike on both sides as attested to by the braid clasp, the hair, cheek and front left leg. decent luster remaining. scratches here and there but I think it still would come in at AU58

Ill say AU-55, perhaps 58. Like the 1931-S cent, saved in enormous quantities at the time.
