TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 04/19/2021 08:49 am I agree to some extent with you T-BOP and I collected some nickels with well struck steps on AU coins that are unusual issues found with full steps in MS. I value them as better finds over some low MS, weak step nickels from the same mint and year. I don't think a TPG will assign a FS grade on a circulated Jefferson nickel though. There isn't a price guide for AU and lower Jefferson nickels in the FS category. Most nickels struck with Monticello on the reverse in the past couple decades normally have well defined steps.
