Hello All,

Counting from Left to Right, I believe the number 3 top is bronze, no difference in weight, all fall within the range. I tried the drop-ping test and can't hear any difference. I compared a foreign coin that is bronze, it looks similar especially the reverse.

Is there a sure way to decipher?

Thanks in advance for commenting.

They should all be bronze. Different coins just tone differently.

To be precise, they're 95% copper, 5% tin and zinc, so somewhere between bronze and brass.

Agree, all the U.S. cents are the same alloy, just with different environmental toning.

Yep, Lincoln cents until 1962 were all bronze, except 1943's of course.

Brass color examples are more yellow. (If that was the term you were thinking of)
