The below link is to an ebay listing for a 1944 S Washington and it is the FS-101. This is the third of these I've seen this guy sell and they go pretty high. A friend of mine bought the last one he sold and it was a normal 1944 S Washington. No variety. I personally never liked this seller anyway.

I'm guessing but they usually won't do that for an auction unless they are trying to trick you. I'll look at the past two auctions and see if it is the same picture.

Yes stock pictures on an auction.

Your friend should file a complaint and get his money back: coin not as described.

It should not be a problem. Buyers are always considered right on ebay.

I'm with you Will. I never purchase anything from a seller who uses stock photos. The seller claims the coin imaged is the one you will receive but we now know that is a lie.
The seller has 100% positive feedback but oh wait, 63 feedback revisions. That would have been the negative feedback...
