Hiya! Have an interesting token to share It's late 40s I believe. Found a couple sold via ebay that were listed as 1946 and another was 1947. Curious if anyone has additional resources for info? Would enjoy reading up on this. As well as putting a date to it! Thanks for looking!

Both my parents were from South Bend and around in that era to have ridden it. I'd ask them but sadly my Mom passed away on New Years and dad hasn't been with us since 2012. It's cool though. I'm sure there are some experts on trolley systems in Indiana, shouldn't be difficult to find information on. Found this site which has information on the Trolley which I believe these tokens are used on. https://thetrolleydodger.com/tag/indiana-railroad/ After the page loads you can use CTRL+F and search the page for South Bend to get to the photos of the cars and trolley line photos. There are 21 instances of South Bend on the page.

@kax, my go to website for investigating these things is tokencatalog.com. Here is a link to your piece I think (TC-237580; Atwood-Coffee IN 860 D), although I note that there is a variation made from steel (and therefore attracted to a magnet): http://tokencatalog.com/token_recor...ord_offset=0

My condolences westcoin. Thinking about the connections is wild to me. Perhaps your fam could had used this token at a point. Far fetched but fascinating none the less! Thank you for sharing!
I peeped around Google and bit on ccf numismatic search engine but nothing really about the tokens upon first few scrolls.
