Loads of lustre. But too mamy distracting marks to make MS64 imo. I think MS63+

Every time I see a'79 or '80 O up for grade opinions I think here's another slider and start with an AU opinion before I even look at the coin and then try to prove my predetermined opinion wrong. This coin did that - MS62+ for me. Just a tad too many little obverse tics to sway me to 63. Nice example for a '79-O.  |

MS-62+. Good luster but just too baggy to make 63.

the strike on the one is typical for the year. a little above average are normal. surface preservation is AVG- as there are quite a few marks, scratches and scuffs on both sides. luster appears to be broke on the cheek so that will keep it out of 65 range for me. I'm with the majority on this one. MS62

I agree with pretty much everyone: MS62.
Any reason why not going for a higher grade? Difference between MS62 and MS63 is only about $10.
