Hello All,

I am new here and happy to be part of the forum.

Recently I was looking through my collection when I noticed that the reverse of a 1945s Nickel was mysteriously missing the word United. It looks like maybe a cracked die that fracture the planchet as the rim is in intact but a a small half circle is missing.

Does anyone know if this is a true error and may be part of the history if this coin run?

I will post an image shortly.

Thank you,

Arthur

A large reverse Cud would be quite unusual. Hope you get pics up and it turns out to be one.
