Hi been a while!

am basically asking if these are of remark as my stumbling googling indicated they were odd! Like me!

2014 Half dollars. I was curious if geting coins graded was worth the hassle.
I stumbled on a few coins I was told would need graded but really it sounds like a bit of too tricky.

As a rule of thumb, a coin has to be worth several times the cost of grading before it's actually worth the money. These coins were not issued for circulation, but were sold by the mint by the roll/bag for a bit over face. They're worth less than a dollar each unless in exceptional condition.
That said, they're still kind of cool and may appreciate many years in the future. Hold on to them if you like them.

Doubt seriously these would be candidates for grading.

It truly is a mad world. I sold my blue peter 50 pence intact in packaging for £300 which I thought was probably just a glitch and some fore even £100 but the lovely ones are worthless. I have a 4 billion year old meteorite coin and some other amazing things that won't sell because I won't back down. Much to learn. I think a point is reached where everyone has everything so will just look at the melt value as a lot is. 999. Sad.

In 2014, the mint produced various versions of the P/D Kennedy half because it was the 50th anniversary of the coin. The copper-nickel clad versions, which it appears you have, were minted in quantities of 2.5 million (P) and 2.1 million (D). There were also special 50th anniversary versions: proof gold, proof silver (P mint), reverse proof silver (W mint), enhanced uncirculated silver (S mint), uncirculated silver (D mint), and proof silver (S mint).
There were only 100,000 blue peters minted with the 2009 date (I think), so they are much rarer. I think the unique design makes them more interesting to collectors as well. Hope that explains the madness.

There are three versions of the P/D clad. The low relief circulation strike used to fill bags and rolls, the low relief uncirculated strike for the annual mint sets, and a high relief uncirculated strike sold in a two coin set.

The difference between the first two are not that significant, but the high relief of the third makes it easy to distinguish from the other two.

The half dollars show above are low relief, whether they came from a mint set or a bag/roll is indeterminable.
