So thank you to those of you who commented on the last 1955 Lincoln Penny that I posted and gave me the inside I needed as to why that was not what I thought it was. So let's give this one a try that I found tonight. I can clearly see doubling in Liberty especially towards the last half of the word. And the numbers 955 definitely appears to be some kind of doubling there. And it seems very evident in the word trust. I don't see any errors on the back side. By chance did I get it right on this one? #128556; Thank you to everyone for their help and for those who are dropping some knowledge as well for me I truly appreciate it!

Not a real doubled die. This is "called" a poor man' doubled die. But just how the over worked dies ended up striking coins past retirement. Value is about 3 cents. In a tube of 50 BU cents I found 19 of these. They are common. Not the real DDO.

Agree. Somewhat difficult to tell from the photos posted, but the coin appears to show the 'poor man's' feature--a result of Die Deterioration.
