When we recently sold my wife's old SUV, I gave it a thorough cleaning before taking it in. We'd never once folded up the 2nd row seats in the years we'd owned it, but I thought I'd check underneath to see if a cleaning was needed. After figuring out how to do it, lo and behold I found this 3" coin medallion underneath the seat. You can still find them on ebay for about $15. We bought the car brand new in 2011, and where I found this it would have required the seat being up for it to make it there. My best guess is someone at the factory or maybe the dealership had dropped it there before delivery to us. Who knows why or how, but I had to smile when I found it!

A much happier new-car story than the one my first dealership boss told... during the 1980s a new Cadillac arrived at the dealership that downright STUNK... it was a SANDWICH that someone at the factory had placed behind (possibly IN) one of the seats. I guess this wasn't too unusual during that era.

... so I think your luck is MUCH better! :-)

@Nells250 I've heard stories like that, as well. Whoever left my "surprise" was a lot nicer!
