We're taking steps backwards again, Chip... you had started making an effort to use reference sites, and now we're back to the guessing game posts where you don't tell us what you think the error or variety is. Looks like a normal War Nickel worth its silver content.

Why would I think there is an error when I don't see one I just I just saw a 1944 d nickel and thought it may be worthless cuz I didn't see any errors. And that was my question

So, why did you post this in the ERRORS section? A better solution would be to post non-error questions in the regular Modern section or Modern grading section.

Did you really think this coin was worthless ? If so you need to brush up on War Nickels , they are 35% Silver ,with Silver climbing we want to save and keep all Silver coins no matter their percentage .

Yes I thought it was worthless because the coin is so distorted and barely legible
