Why only VF35 Coinfrog? Except for possible cleaning it looks to be almost MS. I'm no expert and actually almost useless when it comes to grading so I'm not saying you're wrong. Just curious as to the grade you gave it.

I might go EF-40 based on what I know about grading this issue. Perhaps the apparent wear I see is just a strike issue. I'm sure others will have more experienced opinions.

I'd have to agree with XF40. Old cleaning, retoned and market acceptable.

I'm on the VF-35/EF-40 fence here. My very first reaction was a bourse floor 40, so I'll land on that side of the fence. Straight grade, no concerns.

EF40 obverse and VF30 reverse. It's much more attractive from the front side for sure. The little rim dig at 12:00 on the reverse side holds it back from me calling it a full EF40.

So my call is VF35

Agree with 40-ish with an old cleaning.
