Not my coin and sellers pics . This sellers pics are great for showing detail but never good at showing luster . My opinion is the coin would grade straight. I have bought from them before and the coins look natural so far at least . Now I do not plan on buying this one but I am trying to compare it to a few others. so with that said As far as the coin what are your thoughts on the grade . This coin is raw

EF(45) or AU(50)? Hard to tell with this lightning, but is there natural luster, or has it been cleaned? A lack of luster on Morgans can be suspicious...

I'd say low AU, but probably details from overdipping. Not convinced it's just the photos. The seller has several graded AU coins listed, and they all show more luster than this one.

they do have 2 graded au-58 which show more luster for sure in the photo. To me this one is more on the AU-50 to XF-45 Bubble so it should not be so showy , they have another AU/XF looking 1893 that is bright white , that one to me has been dipped. As far as a technical grade though I think its AU-50 as far as the detail of the coin itself.

Gut feeling is that it would grade details cleaned.

I'm at EF45 and possibly details. To me it's just too clean for the amount of circulation wear to not have been dipped.
It does appear to be a VAM-4 but you probably already spotted that first right star..

AU 50 for me. If not cleaned. But lacking eye appeal. The dings around liberty's chin, to the left of the wing, and the rim ding on the reverse may not details it, but it would keep me from paying AU 50 price.

I would think an honest coin from an honest seller, in the range of EF/AU 45-50.
