This coin was given to my Dad in Washington DC. He was taken there with a group of about 30 WWII veterans on an all expenses paid tour of the capital, where they were honored for their service. Each veteran was escorted personally by a much younger one on the tour, Dad was 92 at the time. You can buy these online from ebay for $19.95 or at the White House online store for $9.95. This one was given to my Dad at that time, and now that he has passed I have it. It has much more sentimental value to me. I am so proud of him, and all veterans.

Very nice - thank you for sharing your treasure and your Father's story with us. Although I never knew him, like all veterans, I am very thankful to your Father for his service.
