Still looking for my first RMP, having a hard time telling based on photos online. I forgot to capture a photo of the entire coin, and I put my camera gear away. I hope the one pick is enough.

I don't see an RPM here, but I'll wait for the experts.

Looks like a 1982d rpm-001. I am not an expert so wait for the coop to weigh in.

I'm not seeing rpm-001. The top of the second D should be pretty clear north of the primary mint mark. http://www.varietyvista.com/02b%20L...2DRPM001.htm

@Greasy not sure how weighing the coin will help op figure out if it's an RPM. Same for the full coin pictures. Seems unnecessary.

@Colorado Coins Not seeing an RPM, sorry. Looks like maybe a bit of split plating around the mint mark.

@ Samcoin...I know weight has nothing to do with an rpm..on this coins close-up I'm not seeing any plate shifting nor plate splitting (when I zoom in on mm looks like gunk rather than splitting) also surface and slight die flow looks like a 3.11g'er and not a Zincoln...I'm having wishful thinking for the poster....now you understand why I asked my previous questions...lets all keep our fingers crossed....

It is a small date and weight would determine if copper. Not seeing a RPM.

Well the shape of the mintmark is not from a RPM, but because of a damaged punch that created many dies even on diffent denominations:

So you can see the many examples of the damaged punch is out there.

If you are looking at the outside edge of the mintmark, that looks like the plating is spliting on that area. Note the gray color. Also not a RPM. But the 1982 RPM, there is one like the damaged mintmark punch, but it is above the mintmark:
Below MM:

Above MM:

Others are found on the serifs of the mintmark. But that look is common for that year, but all caused by a damaged punch.

Why does the punch get bent?
Because the dies were tempered, when the mintmark punched was used, it was trying to add a mintmark to a hardened die. After many dies, the punch suffered the most. Thus why the mintmark was damaged.
