So was looking through the second album of a 1909 to 2009 dansco set I purchased. Got a great RPM - 1970 S/S north RPM-001 in ms red. Has the die chip in the "C" on reverse like in variety vista. Love bonus coins since I purchased the set for the wheat cents only.

That's a really nice RPM for a modern coin. It doesn't get much love and doesn't sell high but I find them to be quite rare and seldom find them.

Great coin! Especially as a bonus coin. I also love bonuses.

These were also found in mint sets.

Thanks everyone for the comments. TB if you can't find it often, then it must be rare. But as Coop notes, I've heard they are found in mint sets more often. Since this book has all the proof coins from 1975 - 2004 (including clear and filled), I'm guess the collector was breaking out special mint sets as well. That person didn't note the variety though.
