I was looking through my great grandmothers coins and found this 1884 Morgan. I cannot tell if the mint is San Francisco or not. Looks like the S to me but I am not an expert and could be just hopeful. Thanks again and either way still a great coin.

Yes, that's a San Francisco S mintmark.

I would not recommend paying to get it graded. As you may know, an 1884-S Morgan can be valuable in higher grades, but yours is no higher than VG, and it may have some surface damage. It would not add any value to have it graded. Much better to learn to grade it yourself.
