I have been liquidating a portion of a lot that I bought. In the lot was about 75 1979-81 Susan B's, and 50 Sacagawea dollars from 2000. All look like they were hoarded from the bank for awhile so they are all in near BU shape. There are also some nice BU like memorial cents from 64-76.

Am I correct to assume it would not be worth my time to try to sell and that I should just deposit them in the bank? Are there any errors or varieties that I should look for before I bring them to the bank?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks

For 79P SBA, look for the wide rim variety, and keep the 81 which are worth a bit more than face. All the rest, I'd dump, unless you like to hoard the copper cents for when they likely go back up next summer (my prediction). Also look for the 70S small date cent (but not likely!)

dont dump those cents... If you do not want them I will take them I collect Us Cents.. as far as the susan b's I agree with mycrob... and on the sacagwea I would just look for that cheerios variety u never know you might find one... But again with the memorials if you do not want them I will take them or trade for them

With these coins it's mostly a matter of searching for gems and varieties. There just won't be much in these dates where typical coins bring much premium. There are a few better coins like '71 cents but how much effort do you want to expend to sell a few of these?

You should easily have buyers for any AU-BU copper cents! I hoard those away in a special place, they are tough to find in circuation. Even at coin shows the BU's go from .35 - $3 or more.
