Brett Charville has stepped down as president of PCGS. Brett was the young coin dealer that replaced Don Willis a few years ago. In his early thirties, ascending to a position like that was a major accomplishment. By all appearances, he did an excellent job and PCGS's business and stock price grew substantially during his tenure. After graduating from Miami University, Charville was employed by Heritage as a wholesale buyer and grader. He then spent two years at Carter Numismatics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, also as a buyer and grader. In 2012, Charville founded Standard Numismatics, a wholesale-focused trading company based in Chicago. Seems to me, like PCGS has a trouble of keeping people in leadership rolls after they forced David Hall out. Wonder what this will do to the company in the near future? https://coinweek.com/people-in-the-...epping-down/"Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013! Quote: GrapeCollects-"They could hire me" Grape you'd be a great choice I'm sure! Young, motivated and knows coins. But how long would you last? Seems everyone is gone in a year or so after going to work for them lately, at least in management posisitions. I've only heard good things about Brett, though I don't know him and we have never met. He has worked for some of the big guns in the business, and everyone I know, that knows him, says he is a good guy. Wonder why he is leaving? Seems strange as even PCGS is saying he was doing a great job, profits were up, and new projects were on time and getting done in time. Seems weird to me. Ever since David Hall was forced out the Collectors Universe has seemed like a quite different company, more focused on new areas of revenue in collecting and not so much on coins. Coins is what built that company, and coins are what will keep them in business - unless they forget that, then they will be in trouble I think.

I'm confident there would be many swell candidates from our ranks. Maybe Brett will serve as a full time moderator on this forum--the reward would be priceless.
