I can't get ebay on this computer. Is this guy disclosing it as a "copy" or fake? If not, why is he still on ebay?

Quote:" ebay pulled this listing" I wonder why? Yep, same exact coin as before. I guess we ask ebay to pull it again.

From the listing: Quote:up for bid is a1909 s vdb coin ebay pulled this listing
for me being honest , coin is original 1909 vdb
that was sent out to be certified
by anacs
coin was returned not graded
but given n9 which in anacs terms
is not gradeable e-mail with questions before bidding Anyone wanna guess what 'n9' is code for?

I have no hope of ever finding this coin over here in Oz, but thanks to this forum, if I ever do, I will be able to make an educated guess if it is genuine or not. Is there anything else I should look for other than the alignment of the mint mark and how 'open' the loops are on the 9s?

After seeing this happen So Many times I honestly can say I have no pity for the uninformed. I know I seem harsh but if someone is buying this to sell for a quick buck or as an investment it must be treated with the same diligence as everything else. You don't buy a house without checking the history and oh yeah.....Go Inside it First!

Sean--if you didn't see this diagram before, there were only 4 obverse dies used for the 1909-S VDB: The S mintmark also has a very specific shape; I'll look for a diagnostic. Needless to say, that "S" above is laughably wrong.

OMG! $414?
My counterfeit looks good, I might try the same auction. LOL It's funny, the good counterfeits sell for pretty good money actually. I bought mine from a dealer, we both knew it was counterfeit....had a label on it: NOT FOR SALE! Well, that just tempted me! LOLOLOLOL I did have to pay 3 figures for it, but I had to have it...yea, one of those coins. I bugged him for MONTHS to sell it to me and he finally did.
