Not an error.

The remnants of the initials are clearly visible, does not qualify for no FG.

Yours is just polished off. No value.

There is one legit die made in 1982 where the initials were not engraved onto the die. There is absolutely no trace of the FG. The coins with that REV die also have an OBV die where the 1 in the date has no base serifs.

PCGS does not seem to know this simple and rookie level identification mark b/c all of them regularly wrongly label obvious FG halves as non-FG (wonder if the fee they charge to do so comes into play?). they have a terrible record of calling halves of 1966, 1972-D, and 1982 a No FG even though you can see the FG. The other grading companies also do this fairly regularly.

Please see the pdf in my signature if you want a guide on No FG varieties (all linked to PCGS data for you to see it for yourself) and the very non-expert handling of this variety that has cost collectors thousands of dollars (cases also linked to from their website).
How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash?

Over polished. Next time, please crop you photos. Too much wasted space. Thanks.
