lamarche908 New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 07/04/2021 8:14 pm I've done an extensive about of research on this nickel because from what I can see it has something going no. I am very new to the hobby but very passionate. can someone help me understand what I am looking at here. my focus is mostly on the reverse around the edges. With respect to your nickel, I'm seeing some metal rolled over from the rim onto the field (primarily on the rev). This is a sign of mechanical damage common with so-called Dryer Coins. It has been through many hands, vending machines, dryers, counting machines, casino machines. It will always worth a nickel, and too many of these are were struck to be in the condition to be worth more than face value. It is like a car. It have be used, abused, wrecked and put into the yard, but will be a car until it is recycled. This one still has a lot of mileage on it to go forward with, doing the job it was intended to do.
