It looks interesting but it's hard to tell if the lighting is affecting what we see. There does seem to be something going on on the upper left serifs of UNITED and AMERICA but it might just be glare from the lighting. (Please post a full Obverse and Reverse image. And try to eliminate the glare.)

Glare from lighting. No, not worth "sending it in" as it would cost you more than the final product is worth. Check ebay's sold listings for values. to the CCF! What else do you have to show us? Ask away!

I'm going to go out and step on and crack a limb in an otherwise quiet forest and say I think I just see Machine Doubling on this coin. The glare and lighting from so many different directions make it difficult to determine with absolute certainty.

I see just a coin from a worn die. Just flow lines. Also the double lighting add confusion to the images. On micro images a single light source gives light and shadows. A double light source makes light on both sides of the devices.

You need to put a filter on your light source and your close up is a bit too close. John1

Only thing I look for on the reverses of 18 Ds are if the die is rotated..that takes me about 2 seconds per coin

Still need to put a filter on your light source. As to not being able to get a farther away close up,put your scope on a stack of books so you raise the camera farther away from the coin. John1

Combination of glare and Die Deterioration. Not a doubled die. And not what a doubled die would look like on a an ultramodern coin (single squeeze hubbing).
