I have a 1939 nickel no mint mark I was wondering if somebody with more knowledge on so can tell if this is doubling on the letters

The Philly Nickels then had no mintmark. (Even proofs at that time) So it is not an issue. It is the norm then.

with coop, and I don't notice anything resembling the well known DDR in the location of the word Monticello or five cents. It would be nice if it was though .

Hard to tell from the image posted, but there appears to be just circulation flattening of the lettering.

Not seeing either of the two major doubled die varieties for this date. There are others known, but the picture would need to be way better and under a USB scope to see them.

Yes I can when I get off work I don't have a USB camera came on the phone is very good but it makes me resize it to upload
