I personally feel that the fakers are lazy and cheap, and if they can sell these for $2 and make money, why put a lot of effort into improving it? That said, the first red flag for me is that this is a half-million dollar coin in the condition it purports to be in. Heritage auction archives are a great resource and you only need a free login to access their larger images. Compare them side by side and look at specific small details, and not just the fact that it has the same letters, numbers, and portrait. I could probably circle and list 20 things wrong with your coin, but you should train your eye to see them for yourself. Look at the hair and ear detail, the bottoms of T and Y, the specific shapes and positions of each number in the date, etc.

Seeing them side by side makes ops look so fake. Look at the stars.
