Very nice Buff! I've had my eyes peeled for a GEM 1924 and haven't found one I liked yet. One day.
Overall nice strike, bit of obverse weakness noticeable on the long feather incomplete rachis. Hit to the cheek is the only real distracting mark. Appears to be a minor strike through in front of the lip. Great looking reverse, strong strike, not seeing any distracting marks.
Luster is the one thing I can't get a good feel for. I'd call this MS65, if luster is strong in hand I can see NGC calling this MS65+/MS66.
Nice pickup!

the mark on field in front of the profile looks like a planchet flaw. I agree with ty2020b, MS65+

Yes , the hit on cheek and lamination peal or planchet flaw is the only issues I see . MS-65+ .

MS-65 sounds right, flaw detracts unfortunately.

As you guys noted, the hit on the cheek is the only major contact mark on the coin, the flaw in the obverse field is also distracting, but I'm unsure if it's a planchet flaw, strike through, or just irregular toning. The coin has very nice subtle color on the obverse, and gorgeous gold tone that is accompanies by bright luster on the reverse. The grade does seem a little generous to me, but I don't grade buffalos well. Overall I'm happy with the coin. It wont be a permanent addition to my collection, very few coins are. But I'm glad to be able to have had a higher end buffalo pass through my hands.

I'm surprised this got 66 with all the marks on the Indian's face. Nice MS-65.
