I purchased this coin for 10 dollars, should have paid melt value. One of my initial classic coin buys.

Good example of aggressive cleaning with hairlines.

Also shows how coins tone after cleaning.

Any other clues that would suggest cleaning on first view.?

Looks VF35. You can tell harsh cleaning with hairlines or a mirror surface on the coin. One thing that stands out to me about this coin is the toning. Looks a little strange but isn't super unusual. Could've been retoned by heat after it was been cleaned.

Harshly cleaned ,loaded with hits and scratches . I agree with VF Details . 2 or 3 Dollars above melt would have bought that coin .
