Found this digging through a lot I recently purchased. I#699;m definitely not making my money back on this but it's a neat find. I especially like the woody look.

How do you define not getting your money back? Is there more to show?

That is a very nice RIDB and looks to be about the same stage as the listing.

So are cracked skulls considered a retained interior die break?

In my mind a so-called cracked skull could be just die crack(s) or a RIDB.

Nice one.
I (think) a cracked skull is just a crack from one part of the skull to another.
The crack could have a IDB and/or RIDB in it somewhere.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm not explaining it right. I'm always glad to learn.

Thanks Ya'll!

VestigeWolf, If you go to CudsOnCoins site the links to the different types of listings describe what those listings mean.

"Cracked Skull" is a general term for die event which could be a Die Crack Spike Head (connected to the rim) or a IDB or a RIDB etc.

Retained Interior Die Break. It's when a piece of the die breaks off but then settles back into the die. An IDB is when it falls out, not retained. JC, on Cuds on Coins has designated 4 mm to be the minimum size in order to qualify, which in my simple calculations, should be about the size of an eraser on a pencil.

Lol. There's a lot of or's and if's. I have a few cracked skull only some with IDB. RIDB, Spike Head and some with combo.

So much to learn! Some of my so called die cracks may now be RIDB's or IDB's. Thanks for the input.
