Here is another decent work find. Not as good as the 45, but still decent for the age :) Thanks for looking.

@John1 Ummmm if you are seeing something, please tell me! I just thought it was a normal, old '39.

Fun find! It happens with Jefferson nickels that you still find pre-60's since that design is still circulating. I doubt they'll ever dry up. Not until a completely different 5 cent coin is in use. There are billions still floating around with that profile of Thomas Jefferson on it. Looks normal, definitely VF35 maybe not XF40.

The long rectangle of Monticello's front steps is bolder on the reverse of '38 than on the redeigned reverse that came a bit later. Fewer coins with the 1938 reverse exist than with the 1939 reverse, but still plenty enough that there's no premium of note for the '38 reverse.

with John1, you posted this in the errors and varieties section, so you must see something we don't? Or did you just post this in the wrong section?

I was at first confused why you are all saying it was posted in the variety/error section... From LeatherHawk: Quote: I misunderstood the topic....as it says Variety and Error.... my bad From Spence: Quote: Fixed.
Now I'm not..
