I'm looking at a 1983 Lincoln Cent and can't tell if I'm seeing MD/DDD or an actual doubled die. I'm mainly looking at the United on the back.

There is what looks like MD on DDD on the word cent. I also see a die crack on the corner side of the monument.

The Penny is a bit dirty, so I sent it to the Acetone Spa to try to get a better look when cleaner.

Thanks!

Looks like Machine Doubling. Notice how the devices are flat and shelf-like.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. It just looked a little odder than the normal MD that I've seen. But I am still learning here :)

Nice example of Machine Doubling. Consider keeping the coin for reference purposes. Decent die crack too.
