TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 07/31/2021 10:50 am I imagine you are showing some of a Lincoln type subset that includes a zinc coated Steel 1943 Wheat cent and a Lincoln Wheat cent that was minted by using melted down spent ballistic shell casings for planchets or blanks which do have an off color appearance from the pre war and post 1944 and 1945 bronze cents. https://www.coincommunity.com/us_sm...heat_ear.asp The shell case cent (probably) looks to have either damage near the rim or much less likely an error.
