I found this penny today that I believe may have a Cud between the date and the bust, however I cannot find a match on Cuds on Coins. Would you please take a look and tell me what you think, Cud or CRUD? Thanks in advance Eric

Looks more like it has taken a hit flattening the rim. A Cud would not be lower than the rim and the inner part would flow down towards the fields, not have an edge on it.

I'm horrible at overlays, so instead I took your pic and leveled it with the Cud shot on COC. The mm location looks pretty dang close to me. I think yours is just an earlier stage of CU-1c-1984D-42. You may want to email JC and see what he thinks.

Not big enough. Looks like the rim was wacked there.

@makecents I looked at that one and believe this one is close but smaller. @Allcoinsaregood and @jimmyd I will try yo get a better picture, my photo skills are less than optimal. :>( The blob is flush with the rim edge and rounds down toward the center of the coin.

I'm with JimmyD on this one, not a Cud. I don't think it's a match at all to the known one.

While it fits the bill for being taller than the field/rims, but I feel this is not a Cud but a struck through debris on the coin. If you, you might see where it trails off on the edge of the coin. The weight be in the 3.2 gram range.

Hmmm weighs 3.96 grams. That would make it extra metal. Thanks for the help.
