Is it possible to get a case open without breaking the case, and if it is tampered with would there be signs like white frost look in the places either from glue or the case where it might have been worked? I seen what these cases do on video. They break or shatter from what I'm seeing, but he mentions hacksaw and no demonstration on what happens when you do use that. They way they where demonstrating look like an infomercial using hammers. I know there are people that exist that will do this garbage. I will reply with the reasoning and pictures behind this question after a few replies. That will give me time to take them. Thank you for your time.

My understanding is that the answer is essentially and nearly unequivocally no. There is no way to get it open and resealed without some tell somewhere on the slab
I think there is a way to do it 'less' destructively, meaning not completely shattering the case, but the idea is that they are sealed from the company that encapsulated them, and if they are opened they remain as such. Elsewise fakes in real slabs would be yet more rampant

If you place the slab on edge on a hard surface and gently beat on the top edge of the slab, and keep turning the slab and beating SOMETIMES if you are lucky you can get the seal to pop and the two halves will come apart cleanly. But most of the time the seal will not pop cleanly and eventually the case will crack instead.

Just break slab anyway, and get the coin re graded by another TPGrader. I trying to guess what this action may have on coin pops.

Probably easier to find counterfiters and have them make you some.

I need to retake pics later to post, but my concern is the hair that looks to be stuck in what appears to be glue maybe and got me to looking at all my other slabs. Not one slab has any of what I'm seeing on this one. The graded coin in the slab is 1996 W Roosevelt dime MS67 FT. In certain locations the case appears to be I guess frosted as if hit on all four sides. The dime itself Is in question

Did you verify the slab on NGC's site and compare the pics they have of the slab?

The frosting you see on the edge is normal for NGC coins, all of mine have it. Everything looks good to me!

Ya I verified the coin, and did a couple calls. Issued is being handled. @Adam that was discussed on one of the calls. Thanks for all your replies.
