OK so I purchased a 5C. 1967 B.U. Mint Roll I purchased from an auction last year. Well I fi ally got to that toll to go thru and about half way down the roll I noticed one had what looks like a Full Step variety. As I put it I a hard 2x2 plastic and started reading about that year. And come to my surprise there's not even one with Full steps. So I started looking at all the high graded 1967-P 5c and no other example that's photod comes even close to having even 50% of the stairs on this example. my question is would this be the first Full steps or would it not grade qith FS. Please ideas on weather this would register as FS or no. And if so how much could or would this be worth or an estimate for the First 1967-P 5C. Jefferson FULL STEPS Designation. Tha KS enjoy the photos

That would not make full steps. There are only two full steps just to the right of center.

This is the 1965-P Full STEPS designation. Why does this one make full steps looking like that. I was to have thought that because it's a year where the Dies are and were poorly Struck that year that because it's got most of them and from a distance looks like all of them is why it got full steps when obviously that's not full steps. I figured the same would be for the 1967-p since all even the ms66 grades of the 66 have very weak striked stairs. Even on PCGS the Top POP and below dont even have 2full steps where as mine has 2 full and if u tilt the nickel just right in the light u can se the faint lines fro. The other stairs there not completely gone. I'm No Expert I just watch alot of videos and read alot and ask alot of questions to Numismatist. I could be completely wrong with how I was made to believe about certain Jefferson Nickels with the FS designation. I'm just sharing my perspective about the series and grading. But please if I'm completely wrong any insight or ideas or comments are very helpful and appreciated. Like stated the photo with this message was screen shot on PCGS website of the only photo, photographed by PCGS of the 1965 5c Full steps Designation. Anyways enough of me and my blabbering. Am I correct or kinda even close & #128070;#128070;#128517;#128517;#129325;#128556;#128556;#128556;#128556;#128168;#128168;

I'm very much a purist when it comes to strike designations, meaning I'm extremely strict, much more so than PCGS, NGC or ANACS. This coin isn't anywhere near FS with that giant blob. But, it is much better than most coins for that date. As for that 1965 you showed, the TPGs are... what's the polite way to phrase it... very inconsistent and confusing. Very often 5 Steps coins end up in 6FS holders.

I've tried to figure out in the past looking at graded full steps. I figured it out, but decided they are a waste of time. So I don't bother with them.

. Hate to burst your bubble but that is not a FS Nickel . The overall strike of the coin is very good for a 67 .

Just took another look at the reverse. It looks like a polished die on the reverse. Note how the devices are smaller than normal. (This would not affect the steps)

Wondering if this was from a SMS package?

That 1967 might be an SMS coin, which if FS would not be as special a find as a 1967 normal business strike FS. Your 1967 has step weakness under the 3rd pillar, a common location for weakness. The compared 1965 nickel shows 5 steps all the way across, marginal as they are in places.

Forget those Utubes and do your research and education here on CFF. There are many many pages on "full steps" in past posts.
