Hello, I hope everyone's doing good. To me, this coin looks like the D mint mark has been printed twice on top of each other, but if it's damage feel free to let me know. I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me if this can be considered as error or just another damaged penny. Thanks.

It looks more like a broken post on the die. The center of the D mint mark broke as and left an empty area on this die. When the coin was struck, the metal of the planchet was forced into the hole left when the post fell away.

Difficult to determine given the photos posted. Could be a hit on the mint mark which moved metal. Close-in, large and sharp image of the mint mark would really help. Thanks.

Looks like the D has taken a hit pushing the metal over.
If it was a D over D, the top D would be fully formed.
