I understand that the reverse of the 74 has master hub doubling. There is nothing listed for the obverse. While taking a look at this coin I noticed in god we trust was shaped strange so decided to examine it more though. What I found was extra thickness lines and notching not just on in god we trust but liberty as well.

Hmm, I'm having trouble seeing the notching on LIBERTY. Is it maybe just glare? Hopefully someone else can see it.

My first thought was glare too. Perhaps better photos would help (using a single light source like daylight would certainly help).

That's actually not what I am looking at. I understand my pictures are not the best and I will try to take more asap but I'm not at home right now. Until then these arrows point to the area I'm speaking of.

Look for spread in the center of the devices that enlarge the devices. A view of a 1965 DDO: Note there is MD on this example, but note how the other devices are showing spread in the centers of the devices and also note the motto devices how they are affected? A view of a 1968-D DDR. Note the devices are compared with a normal quarter and the DDR. Note the centers of the devices. That is the affected areas. Also note that some devices have notching, but the spread in the centers of the devices are what to look for. Looking at notching could lead you down the path of coin contact. That often will affect one single device. But note on a doubled die, many devices can be affected. So look at the centers of the devices to find the spread. (widening and sometimes showing a line in the centers of the devices, along with split devices)

Okay so until I get better pictures I can't really do anything. Can't really take better pictures in this horrible lighting because I like to do that in a daylight. For now though I would love to know about the shape of in God we trust, since it is pretty easy to see I think anyway. What is the cause of that?

IN GOD WE TRUST is completely normal. The flattening and wideness of the letters it is from circulation wear. I'm not seeing any true doubling whatsoever on your coin.

Like I said once I get home from out of town I will take some better quality pictures of Liberty and maybe you can understand what I see and heck maybe it's all in my head. I like to hope for best so maybe it's not just in my head.

I see what you mean. I don't think it is in your head. Looks like a minor unlisted doubled die.
