I am trying to find the error, or reasoning behind these Lincoln cents being carded. They don't appear to be the Wide AM. Any other ideas?

I don't think 1989 has a Wide AM variety.1989 does have a 1988 reverse variety I think?
I can't tell much from the photos need to have close up views.

I am wondering what the symbol might mean. The 0 with a strike through it.

On another note, any significance to the coins pictured in this reply? The copper-colored cent is steel.

If I'm not mistaken those are 1998 cents, not 1989. I wouldn't know why they would be in holders.

The other three coins are plated...no value, but could sell for 50c each as novelties.

I thought they looked like high school science experiments. Anyone have an opinion on this 55 clip? Legit?

Thanks for the 55 Clip confirmation vermontensium.

On another note, coppercoins was right.. it is 1998. I took a better picture of the obverse and reverse. The only thing I can see is that this 1998 is slightly off-centered.

And the last for the day is this 1989. It was labeled as an error coin and am guessing it is due to the rim and clash (scratches) before being pressed? Thanks for all the help, everyone. I will post more as I make my way through this lot I purchased.

Both are normal cents - no real reason of value to have them in holders.

Just wondering if anyone knows about this. I've never heard of it, but it would be something else for me to look for:)

There was one found but was delisted when further research concluded that this coin was a RDV-006 in LDS and which was over abraded.
