I'm just seeing two of the same reverse image, no obverse image.

to the CCF! The images are both of the reverse. Please post a cropped image of the obverse so we know the year.

Well, it's a V, or Liberty Head, nickel. An obverse pic would be good.

And, please, crop the photo so we can see more detail of your coin, less carpeting.

Given the photos posted, I'd give the carpet (or towel) an AU50.

I do not know much about these but I would say a bathroom towel and I would also grade it AU details!

Reverse Type 2, so it's 1901 or later. Can't date the towel. :)

There were two types in 1883 With CENTS and without ( E Pluribus Unum in place of CENTS) From 1883 on until 1913 they all had CENTS like this one does. This coin could be any of the V nickels except Type I or 1912 D or 1912 S. I am gonna have a little fun and guess it is dated 1904. Lets see how psychic I am?

Quote: Reverse Type 2, so it's 1901 or later. Was there a change on the reverse hub of the V nickel in 1900? That's news to me. Tell us more.

It was 1901. In 1901 the tip of the leaf above V went from far to close, and the AM went from touching to separated. NGC attributes them and you can see images here https://www.NGCcoin.com/variety-plu...s-1883-1913/ (scroll down). I've also noted changes to the leaf veins but this coin is too worn to see it. I only learned about it a few months ago. 1901 and 1902 have a mix of both types.

From these images, you have amazing eyesight to see the leaf length. I cannot, but there is a variety further down the page you posted. Never knew of this. Ya learn something new every day.
