Eventually, the Superglue will fail, but that may take up to 10 years or more.
Most glues, in flat impervious contact without assistance, such as riveting or screws or whatever, do not last forever.

As a general rule glues that are able to penetrate below the surface of the objects to be joined, work far better.
That is not the case here.

Definitely could fool someone with that if they didn't know what to look for. The differing metal compositions is what stands out to me.
