It's my week to find the esoteric stuff on a coin surface. This 1994 P had A interesting line above 'cent' in One Cent on the reverse. I usually look on the reverse for lines in the bay between the columns anyway for DDR's. This line I found runs from column 11 to above ENT of cent. At first I thought it was a piece of wire which got caught on the planchet during minting of the coin but I couldn't feel it. I tried to move it with my finger nail (I know bad idea if you scratch the surface) but no luck. I think it was a piece of hair or string which burnt up during the mint process and left a shadow deposit of it's image.
Anyway their are a couple of other things on the reverse. A series of die cracks or plating bubbles in United, a small die crack to the diagional right of T in cent. And what looks like pools at the base of columns 5,6,7,8 which need clarification (die leaks?). On the Obverse there is a small die chip in the top curve of the first 9 in the date. Have fun looking and let me know your thoughts. Regards and sorry for the length of the post.

If the mark is incuse, it could be light damage. note how it has worn off the higher devices on the building. So it may have been a surface issue. If it were a struck through issue would would be seen into the highest points of the coin:

Note that it is happened during the strike, it would be showing full details of the item it was struck through and showing ends of start and finish. Sometimes wire will extend to both sides of the coin, even leaving an incuse mark on the edge. (I've seen these for sale, and see the edge affected. But was not able to get images of it)

Just to follow up on some of your other observations in your opening post..... I agree it appears to have a die chip in the 9 of the date. As far as the 'lines' on the back, I'm going to say every one of them are linear plating bubbles. I think the 'line' adjacent to the T in CENT is also a linear bubble. My first observation is that this line does not appear to emanate from the rim (where die cracks typically begin) and that is also not a very common area on the reverse of a Linc Cent to have a die crack. I believe 99% of most all die cracks on the reverse will be found (on a Linc.) at the 'weak link' areas adjacent to the corners of the Memorial. Just my take on the matter here...

In regards to the area around UNITED I'm leaning towards Feeder Finger Damage.

It has the correct flow direction (NW - SE) and if I look closely I can see a small parallel mark between N & I, a parallel mark in front of U (at the rim) and what could be more small parallel lines just above OF.

Having the coin in hand always makes the determination easier, though, doesn't it?
