Found this CRH looks nice. Is this Machine Doubling worth keeping?

V cool! I'm not an expert, but the top of the S stands out to me. Curious why it seems to be affected in much the same way as the rest of the obverse lettering. Since that is punched separately I'd expect it to be unaffected.

Yes definitely MD and a very nice example. Good to keep as an exemplar, even if only worth face value.

Good case of machine doubling--which occurred when the coin was in the striking chamber (well after the S mint mark was part of the die). Keep it if you like it!

It would appear to be "slide" or "push" doubling, which is a form of MD, stated above.

Not to split hairs here, but I believe this to be what is classified as "Single Strike - Flat Field Doubling" which IS a type of Strike Doubling. Single Strike-Flat Field Doubling does not affect the devices by reducing their size and/or shape by cutting 'into' the affected device(s) unlike common simple Strike or Machine Doubling does. Just MHO.

Common Strike or Machine Doubling:
1968-S-Lincoln-1-Cent-Strong-Doubling.

Single Strike-Flat Field Doubling:

MD in the opposite direction. Not a die issue, not a RPM issue, it is a striking issue. MD after the strike.
